The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, has debunked the rumors that it had suspended lectures till further notice.

The department, in a statement signed by its Head of Department, Dr. Kayode Koleoso, stressed that it did not, at any time, declare holidays, lecture-free days, or suspension of lectures.

The statement added that the Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, PCN, and the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, concerning the eradication of the department, does not affect the current students.

The statement reads in parts, “The polytechnic management did not at any time declare holiday or lecture free days or suspension of lectures in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology.

“The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) document in circulation does not affect the students presently studying Pharmaceutical Technology in the Polytechnic in any way or manner and as such lectures are not suspended. Hence, I wish to emphasize that lectures in the Department are not halted or suspended for any reason.

“If there is going to be such, the Polytechnic will inform the students through the right channel of information dissemination.”

In the same vein, the head of the department advised the student populace to disregard any news regarding the suspension of lectures as classes continue undisturbed.
