No fewer than sixty students have undergone medical test organized by the department of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The medical test, which held on Tuesday, was organized by the Nutrition and Dietetics Students Association, NUDSA, to celebrate the Nutrition Awareness Day.

Done for a token of N500, the medical test included checking of Blood Pressure, Sugar level, weight, and height.

Speaking during the event, the NUDSA president, Aiyebelehin Samuel said the program was purposely organized to make students know their health status.

Samuel also stressed that the program was aimed at making students on campus know about the department, who they are and what they stand for.

He said, “What were having today is called NUDSA day, it is an event that has to do with medical test, like we carry test on individual, you check your sugar level, your blood pressure, your height and weight.

“This was organized for only students on campus that’s why we’re hosting it in the school and it’s not for only the department students.

“It is to make people know about the department, who we are and what we stand for.”

“We are using test strip which is used to know your sugar level, we bought like 100 and we’re sure by now we have attended to like 60 to 70 students.”

Advising the students on campus, he said, “I’ll tell people that they are what they eat, you need to take your health serious, your health is more better than your wealth.”
